I used a Kennel Cab with Rupert. Though I would really say I kennel trained him, though I think it did help with his potty training. Though he ended up using his crate for the bathroom and I would have to wash him off every other day. Though now we have a pretty good schedule going, and he doesnt spend any time in his crate at all. I only had him in there to keep my Apartment clean, but I had to clean the Kennel just as much.
He is a free roamer now, he will be 14 weeks tomorrow, got him at 11 weeksish. He doesnt like bathes, and every time he messed his crate he got one, so I bet that helped out with his training.
Also, I never punished him with the crate, and when I slept, I had him right next to me, if he would wine I would hold my arm down, or stick my fingers in the gate so he knew i was there, and it seemed to work and he would go back to sleep. Though it wasnt much of a problem.
But I'm not expert by any means, just how things workd for me. |
