What are you proposing exactly?

Some of my ideas: We need to donate to Yorkie Rescues, write to judges hearing cases involving abusive puppymill owners, write congressmen to support bills that are trying to be passed in some of the states that have such lax pet sales laws. There are some states that do not even have a mimimum age to sell puppies! Most do not have near enough penalties for breaking the laws that are in place. We can try to educate everyone we know or even hear of wanting to buy dogs or cats from a pet shop or puppymill type breeder. These are some of the very small ways I have tried to make a difference this year. Not sure who you are referring to as wanting to "stay within their do nothing but whinge(sic) comfort zone," but there are a LOT of people here that have done these same things and more. There are some very active Rescue folks on YT, that donate resources of time and money beyond what we can imagine. So, I don't think this is a readership that should be accused of doing nothing.

What else are you thinking of? What "radical" action have you taken so far? I am all for efforts that do not involve putting money in the pockets of the people who ARE the problem. It is easy to say these things on the pet forums. We are a supportive audience. But I don't think most people who use their free time to learn and share about their dogs are the ones who are the problem. We need to do things that reach outside of "this comfort zone." So, what is your plan? I could use some new ideas to help the effort too!
