Yes good advice. The mixture of loose teeth/blood/food getting into gum pockets from missing teeth, isn't pleasant. I don't think this period lasts too long, and vets pulls remaining baby teeth during the spay or neuter. You never want them to have a double row of teeth, as this leads to food building up between the rows. We brush with dog toothpaste, use Petzlife, a tartar softening gel, and use Merrick Bully Stix, to help keep teeth clean. At almost 3 Joey's teeth and breath are perfect, and those Yorkie kisses are great to receive! |
