We are potty-training without a crate. He's about 4 months and "gets it" most of the time unless he gets too busy to think about it or excited. But we're just going to continue with the consistency and he'll get there 100%.

We didn't want to confine to a crate . . . we usually only use the crate for going to the vet, groomers, etc. He does use a crate but the door is off most of the time at home within a 3 x 3 pen.
