i learned to just ignore people
i had miss buffey in home depot with me and this couple came up to me to chat about her because they had a teeny weeny chihuahua with them. well the wife asked me about miss b (was she a yorkie, how much did she weigh, etc) and when i said she was full grown and 3.5lbs she said, "oh, well she is TOO BIG to be a teacup then. she must be a regular yorkie"
... not sure in what universe 3.5lbs is a lot but i just smiled and said she was a yorkie within the standard and politely excused myself
