As soon as I come on, I just hit "forums" on the top left.
Not trying to avoid the news...I just don't have interest in the front page of YT because I can get all of that info in the forums anyway.
With certain browsers, you can also block the banner ad at the top that comes on sometimes with pics of starving dogs, etc.
