Science Diet is definitely not a high quality food, but don't rely soley on the grading chart.
If I'm looking at the correct food, (Hill's Science Diet Puppy Growth Small Bites ), the first three ingredients are Ground Whole Grain
Corn, Chicken
By-Product Meal,
Soybean Meal- all of which you should avoid when choosing a food.
If you're looking for a premium food, I'd recommend trying Orijen, Innova EVO, or Wellness CORE.
