My yorkie has thankfully never had urinary tract issues, but one of my other pets has had them in abundance. I know how scary it can be, but take a deep breath. Fortunately, compared with a lot of the other medical issues out there, most urinary tract problems in female dogs can be treated pretty well-- whether by meds, or by diet, or by surgery. The first two solutions are of course preferable, but even if the doctors see stones that need to be removed, animals usually recover well from the procedure.
