Well, I haven't read this thread and to be honest I'm not sure if I'm going to. I still have nightmares about when Gizmo was a little puppy and got into rat poison. You can read the thread about my experience if you want to. It is terrifying.

My adult son had just moved back in for the summer after his first year in college and had a package of rat bait that he had forgotten about and that I didn't know about in the back of his entertainment system. Sometimes companies pack them that way. But regardless, these little bundles of energy will get into anything. It took a long time for me to forgive myself for not puppyproofing enough. I don't blame her for that.

I DO blame her if she didn't take her puppy into an ER vet immediately. THAT is neglect.
