Came back tonight and she is very tired and has an unsteady gait. We thought that maybe the friend didn't add more water and she's dehydrated but then saw a rash. I noticed that she had peed a litter on herself (the only other time she's done this was after being put under with the anesthetic wearing off) and while washing her, noticed that she has a few little red blotches around her vulva and she whined a little when trying to jump onto the couch.

Does this sound like the symptoms to anything? What should I be watching for to know that I need to take her to the emergency vet?

Thanks in advance.. and p.s. She was spayed two months ago.
Lethargic and unsteady gait sounds like low blood sugar. I would give her some Nutrical or White Karo Syrup if you have that. Rub it on her gums if she won't lap it up. Was she out of water? That could be it, dehydration will also do that to her. So, I would ensure she has water, but still give the syrup or Nutrical. She may have over-exerted herself worrying over you not being there. I know our dogs used to get frantic when we would leave them for very long. They finally got used to it and I guess trusted that we would return. As to the rash, blotches and wincing when she jumped on the couch.... not sure unless she was frantic while you were gone and hurt herself. The rash can be from nerves. But if she was peeing on herself, then that could cause the rash in itself.
If she does not perk up in a couple of hours, I would get the emergency vet on the line.
