Sometimes a dog may just have a little upset tummy, or maybe he ate something you don't know about and just wasn't hungry. Once you made his food a little tastier you spoiled him a little, but he will eat it when he's hungry enough. Now if he's experiencing hypoglycemia, he will lose his appetite, so some people give a little nutrical to stimulate the appetite, which should return within 20 minutes. At age one, he shouldn't be experiencing hypoglycemia, but some dogs less than four pounds, or those with an illness or fever can experience it as well. By stale, I meant some people report buying a dog food, and 2 weeks later they give their dog some and the dog refuses it. You need to keep dog food carefully sealed. You know how potato chips or crackers get stale if you leave it in a bowl for a few days, same with dog food, and you should always make sure all air is pressed out of the bag before you seal it.
