LOL! That is so funny and almost exactly what my son told me after I had gotten all excited with one of our pups doing it on the pad. He just looked at me with all of his teenage sarcasm and said, "Mom, the way that one poops, the law of probability was bound to land one on a pad eventually!" Same sort of thing as you wrote! Ah but even then we praise and give them treats. What a life! (Teen and the pup! double LOL)
