 Do dogs get tired of their food?
Our puppy Chewie had been eating his food just fine since we got him in September. He just turned 1 year last Saturday so he's been eating puppy food. His diet has been 1/4 cup NutriSource small breed puppy formula dry food mixed with 1/4 tray of the Cesar's wet food. This is what our breeder recommended and it was working great and he always ate with no problem (unless we would travel with him and then he would not eat well at my parents' house, but I was never too worried about that). We feed him twice a day at 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. A few weeks ago he has not been interested in eating his food. I've had to mix it with baby chicken or nutrical or heat it up or today I even fed him with a spoon! I want him to just eat like normal! Do you think it's possible he is just bored with that food? I planned to switch him to an adult food soon anyway, but I was going to get the same brand, NutriSource. Any thoughts? |
