My only experience with a bike basket was not a good one. It wasn't specifically for pets--just a regular basket. We were camping and I thought I would take Lucy (RIP-my first yorkie) for a ride. I thought I had her secured BUT, she got frightened and jumped out of the basket--she was hanging by her neck. I was so scared!! Fortunately, I was able to safely stop and save her but I never tried it again. I think I would be ok with the 2 I have now but I am to chicken to give it another whorl with the basket that I have.
