I called & spoke with Bella's Vet this morning (whom I have tremendous respect) for clarification on Bella's med's.

He said for now until we get her under control, he would like for me to use the Temaril-P as directed (1 tab q 12 h daily) and not worry about tapering the dosage just yet.

Since her coughing/breathing is still pretty bad (especially, during the wee hours of the a.m.) he wants me to add the Val-Turbogesic syrup (q 4 hrs, as needed).

I've been giving Bella the Temaril-P & Amoxicillan immediately after her meals...I'll check with her Vet on Monday and see if he wants me to do anything different...but, your way does sound prudent! We don't want no stinkin' ulcers, too!

IF and I mean IF...I needed to seek out a 2nd opinion, does anyone know of a good Internist (didn't even know they have 'em in Veterinary medicine!) out my way? I live in Murrieta, CA (Riverside County) but, relatively close to Orange & San Diego County, too.

Thanks Debbie for sharing...
