While I adore my Kindle, I do have to admit that unless you're a book worm or you need to use it for work, it's probably not worth it. It's just so expensive and then you have to buy accessories (cover, skin, etc) and you have to buy books, of course.

The Kindle is good because you don't have to charge the battery as much, but the iPod is sturdier (less likely to break without a case) and cheaper and multipurposed and in colour. The thing some people don't like about the iPod application is that the touch screen causes a glare. Also, the Kindle has that ink technology so your eyes don't get tired from staring at it for long periods of time (it's like you're really reading a book). A computer and iPod don't have that.

If I knew about the iPod application before I'd bought my Kindle, I definitely would have seen if I liked it there first.
