I live in S.E. Texas and it's hot here too...I walk Apple @ 7:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. for about 20 minutes...We may go out for pee pees for a few minutes, during the day, but I wouldn't leave her outside...But I wouldn't leave her outside by herself, anyway, because of predatory birds ie. hawks...BTW, I always feel the sidewalk, w/my hand, to be sure it's not to hot for her, and try to walk on the side w/the most trees...I used to live for the summers, but now I have Apple, I can't wait for the cooler weather...Apple weighs 4 lbs. 3 ounces, so she's small too...If she seems to be getting to hot (on the evening walk, I'll pick her up for a few minutes, 'till we find shady sidewalk... |
