Congrats on bringing the new puppy home. I would keep the diet the same for about a week and then gradually change. First day 75% SD and 25% new food. Second day 50/50%. Third day, 25% SD and 75% new food. And then just new food. I am not sure if the timeline for gradually changing the foods is correct, but the amounts are.
Great for you for changing her to a better food.
How are you planning on introducing them? I would suggest taking them for a walk. When they are tired out, just walk them into the house or car. A few other tips with having two dogs:
Don't get upset if Suzi snaps and snarls at the new puppy. This is just her way to teach the pup her manners.
Pick up all Suzi's toys before the pup comes home. Gradually introduce these toys again, starting with the least exciting toy first.
And remember that dogs have no sense of ownership, so you may find that they sleep in each other's bed, eat from each other's bowls, play with each other's toys, etc.
And spend a lot of one-on-one time with the puppy. She will automatically bond with Suzi because they speak the same language, but you need to spend a lot of time with the pup to bond with her.
Good luck! Post pics soon and keep us updated on the cute little Shih Tzu.
