If you are going for just the look than I agree however the temperament of the breeds are totally different. To be honest, I dont think I could live with a MinPin!! Can you say Napoleon Complex?!!? lol
A German Pinscher is also a great alternative. They have a very similar temperament to a Dobe and are only about 40lbs.
