The morning that I was supposed to take Lucy in, my son had a doctor appt that ran over and the movers had just shown up at the house to start packing up the place so DH couldn't take her to the vet. I called the vet and told them I'd have to cancel, but they offered to come to my house to pick her up, at no charge. I was taken back that people still actually do make "doggy house calls"!
Anyway, so that is what we did and I wasn't there to kiss her goodbye and it was the hardest night to get through. She came through with flying colors and didn't really miss a beat. As a matter of fact, I had to keep her in her kennel mostly so she wouldn't play with Max too much!
