I stated that in my above post. Everyone has to do what is best for them and their pups. But, your post stated that every breeder should be taking the pups to the vet to have the procedure done

I agree that if you're breeding and yes, selling puppies what you make on the sale of your pups should go back into the care and welfare of the pups. In addition, be prepared if anything should genetically life threatenig should pop up with one of those pups to reimburse the money to the new owners to assist them in paying for medical bills for that pup.

I agree there are those that just don't have the heart, inclination to do this. And I agree if a puppy is past the age where pain is greater then a vet should be called upon to do the job. However, if a person wants to learn and is taught by a breeder that has been doing it for awhile and has learned from a vet, then they should have to option of doing so. The knowledge and skill of a breeder doing this, does away with exposing the pups to heaven knows what at the vets, as well as chilling the pups at such a tender age.
