I do give mine the rawhide bones, big enough to fit her mouth so she can chew but not eat right away. When the bone gets too unwarped,then it goes in the trash. I don't let her get to the point of biting tiny bits off.

My vet dosn't like the pigs ears or other pig parts, says they can give diarhea,but didn't have that problem with the one she got. I try to get treats,bones made in the USA.

I agree with Benjiboo, and anyone else that belives in saftey for their dogs, gotta check everything they put in their mouth and make sure it is still safe or it goes in the trash once it becomes over chewed or nearly so.
