I recently got my pup, about a week ago. I just got notified that I am deploying, so I will have to go to 2 months of combat training, then 6 months gone for the deployment. By the time I leave Rupert he will only be about 4 months old, and having only spent about two months with me, and will be a year old when I come back.. So I will be leaving him with my parents while I am gone.
He will have plenty of fun up there im sure, they have another dog and two cats, and Rupert loves everyone, but I feel like he is going to forget me while I am gone.
Not a whole lot I can do about it though.
Hopefully he will remember me and be happy when I come home
