Unfortunately, there are those who disregard anything you say...so, do yourself & your furbaby a favor...keep them apart.
My father is one of "those" but...he is almost 90 and really doesn't understand anymore so, when it comes to my doggies...they are never around him.
However, my youngest son who lived with my parents while he was away at college...well his Mini-Dachshund isn't exactly a Mini anymore...poor
