How will I know when he can go longer without eating, I'm doing every 3 hours now and sometimes when I try to feed him at his 1 a.m. feeding he pulls away he doesn't want it. Does this mean I can go to every 4 hours now?
Oh wow you did a whole litter, I think one is too much! Hats off to you.. |
Yep! A whole litter, and taking care of their mother too. Without the help of my husband, who did the night feeding, he's a night owl, I don't know if I'd have made it.
Here's what my vet told me. Don't wake him up just to feed him. He'll tell you when he's hungry. Just like a baby. He'll begin to take more and more and sleep longer and longer. Before you know it, he'll be doing 6 hours and then 8......yeah! sleep time for you. Just make sure he's warm and comfortable. You don't have to diaper him everytime, about 4 to 6 hours.
