Hmmm...I don't know if they let you off for schooling or not, but it kind of rings a bell bc school is tough to make up if you're not there for class....so I'd think they'd let him off, but don't know for sure.
I had to serve once, and wow, I hope I never do again. It was a horrid rape case of a 13 yr old girl, with no proof whatsover against the man. He said, she said. I think about it to this day and feel terrible about the case, which ended as a hung jury.
I hope he can get out of it....did you try looking online for info for your area?
