Noticed that the Governor hasn't signed this Bill yet. So.....I sent the following letter (email):
I have been keeping an eye on the press releases regarding SB #469. It is my understanding that this Bill passed both houses of the Alabama legislature without a single vote against it and on 5/14/09 it was sent to the Governors desk for consideration to be signed into law. Why has this Bill not been signed? The voters worked very hard to get this piece of legislation introduced and passed. These same voters are keeping an eye on the Governors office, and are growing concerned over what appears to be the Governors apprehension to sign this Bill into law. Can I get an update?
