I don't start, let me state that differently. My mothers don't start potty pad training them until they've had their first shots and I take them out into the kitchen to begin their socialization. The first 8 weeks they are left alone with mom in my bedroom. No handling other than to take temps, weigh, cut toe nails and trim ears..... By the time they are 12 weeks of age, mom has done her job and they are piddle pad trained......
