mine stay in a crate until they are about seven weeks old. they have a pee pad in there that mama uses but they don't get it at that age. THEN, I introduce them to the other dogs after I start their shots and between mama teaching them and them following the other dogs, they just kind of start suing the pad on their own. mine are generally pretty much pad trained when they leave me.
