I sure can understand why you are freaking out a bit. I'm sure you're not the only flight attendant/pilot/copilot saying the same thing.
However, although I don't fly often and quit frankly not very fond of it, here's what I always tell myself before I get on that plane.
If this is the day that my Maker has chosen for me to join him, it's going to happen no matter what. Whether I'm on a plane, train or in a car....or perhaps crossing the street. This usually calms my mind as it brings me around to face my fear of "no control" while in an airplane and putting the fear directly into God's hands. If this is his will, than it is his will and I cannot change it. It may sound silly, but it works for me! |
