I know this may be way off the mark, but could the pup be having problems with UTI or kidneys?? I saw somewhere that dogs arched their backs when in renal pain?
Hopefully the Vet will clear everything up soon and that little Roxie will be well again.
I feel for you having to watch your little one in obvious distress.
