I also don't have any children but I do have a brother but he isn't the most responsible person in the world. He does love animals and I know he wouldn't abuse them as we were brought up with pets but he needs to get his life together. I am sure that if he wasn't so messed up right now and his life was together, I know he would take them. Who knows maybe one day he'll wake up and finally get it.
My mother is in her 70's and is on dialysis so she may not have the energy for a dog. She does have a cat but they are low maintenance compare to a dog. My father loved animals but he has passed away. My immediate family is really small....just me my mom, my brother and my neice. She is only 15 so if I die before she becomes an adult she would not be able to take them. She loves animals as well.
I do have a cousin that is a dog lover but she already has two dogs. I could offer to leave some money in return and she may go for that. I think my mom might be willing to take my cat but the last time I talk to her, she was like if her cat should pass away than more than likely she won't get another pet.
This is something that does not keep me awake at night but it does enter my mind from time to time. Just wondering what others would do. |
