She tested negative for parasites, so the vet believes she has just a bacterial infection in her intestines, as well as Riker. If she keeps it down, she's ready to come home!!! But, even if she has to stay one more night, I'd rather her come back healthy and back on all four paws.
Riker, however, is only 12 weeks and 3.1 lbs with immunity still from his mom. Kaia's 5 months and 2.5 lbs. So, we're going to have to watch her diet and habits closer.
I'm washing their toys now, and have disinfected the entire place. We can't wait to get our little girl back!
Oh man, how scary for both babies to be sick ;( I hope Kaia will be able to come home today. She is in good hands right now. It does seem likewhatever is making them both sick it was a virus or something. You have your hands full. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your babies.
