If Thor is a real picky eater though and he's liking it - I'd keep him on it If he's already done w/ the Royal Canin, I'd maybe try a different brand. Petco has begun selling some of the better foods out there now, like Wellness, etc.
When I got my baby from the breeder, she was on Royal Canin. We wanted to "upgrade" her food, and after a month or so went with Wellness brand for puppies. Lulu loved Wellness at first, but very quickly we realized that she wasn't eating much of it after the novelty wore off. I am not sure if it's the size of the kibble, or the taste of it. I ended up going back to Royal Canin. I also got samples of Artemis food, and Lulu seems to love it. I still mix it with Royal Canin though. I was also recommended Diamond Naturals small breed puppy formula. I might try it next.
