I feel the same way as you, although my Stormy was a 1 and a half when I bought her, I still feel a bit sad that I didn't get to experience her puppy stage, I love her so much and I can't imagine life without her but I find myself wondering, what she looked like and how she acted. She acted way different before and now within the last couple months she has done a 360 degree turn and is a totally new dog, she gets her little puppy mood and wants to play and play bite, she runs, jumps and thinks she can get away with so much lol
I think adding another dog to the mix has improved her personality as well, she grew up with another dog til I got her and now she has a big bullie sister she loves to boss around
