Yes, they have always used a harness. She has had this since she was just a little thing. She is still a little thing even though she will be a year old next month. She is such a darling! I would have taken her myself, but I had already been looking at this new puppy when my son called and said that his ex-wife couldn't keep her any more. My daughter has another yorkie who is almost 2 years old and 9 1/2 lbs. This little girl is only 3 1/2 lbs and needs to gain a little weight. I think she will end up being around 4 lbs or so. She is one of the sweetest little things I have ever seen. My daughter says that the girls are getting along wonderfully. I hope there is something they can do. Maybe she could get a second opinion from another vet.
