We have jackets for all 4 of them. Jack is the only one that does not swim well. Maggie fell off the boat at the slip several years ago. DH was reaching for her to hook her leash on to go potty when she tried to jump from the boat to the dock. He yelled at me to come up and help. By the time I got to the rail I could see a nose and 2 stroking paws coming up through the water under the dock. She paddled over and we brought her back in the boat. (He put the boat up for sale the next week)
We only go to the beach on calm days. Usually the only one brave enough to follow me into the water is Rocky. If we go to the neighbor's yard (pool) they have their jackets on. |
