We got our almost year old male neutered on May 27. He was kind of out of it for several days so we just held him and keep him from licking his stitches. He had a undecended testicle so he has two incisions and had to have cat gut stitches which we have to take him back to get removed two weeks from surgery date. I could tell that his stitches were pulling or twanging every once in a while, but other than that he did not seem to be in any particular pain. The vet never gave me any pain meds for him, but he did not seem to need them. Within three days he was totally back to normal and there is no way we can keep him down. He is romping and stomping and jumping all over the place just like always. He weighs a little less than 7 pounds and has always been a bundle of energy and still is. I hope your baby gets to feeling better real soon. If not, call the vet and see what he has to say.
