Omg nervous behavior

Last weekend I went to the lake with a few friends. The house we were staying in belonged to one of my friend's grandparents and was quiet large for just the 5 of us who went. So anyways I wound up on the ground level by myself (it was like its own house complete with sitting area, kitchen, and dining area). Whenever we would go up to the main level to be with everyone else, Bailey, my 10 month old pup, would FREAK OUT. She would act so nervous and would shake the whole time I held her. Anytime I let go of her, she took off down the stairs to where we were sleeping. She wouldn't eat anything and barely drink anything either. I made her lick some of the nutrical (which for some reason--she HATES) to just make sure she was getting some nutrients. This is not the first time I have taken her on vacation with me, but this is the first time she has acted this way. I'm not sure exactly why she behaved this way, but I almost felt sorry for her wishing that I would have left her with my parents, whom she is very comfortable with, while I was away. Has anyone else experienced this and what do you think I should do next time? I go out of town quiet a bit and I would love to always take her with me, but I want to do what is best for her.
