Of course papers can and do make the dog, and I would rather bet my money on a AKC dog with a papers from an YTCA breeder than any other registry, ever. They test for health, disease, study the line, conformation, temperment....

I hate it when people justify bad breeding practices on untrue myths such as all registries are the same, papers mean nothing.... Papers may mean nothing with some registries but with others it's all the work and ethics that have to be held to get them. Not all registries have the same code, some have almost none.

People who may not have had the time, care or knowledge may say otherwise but in realitly you really do have a better chance at a heatlhy dog when it has been bred properly and held to AKC and hopefully YTCA requirements.
