I've heard of a few more so called "breeders" that left, so they say (or really got suspended) because they did not meet AKC requirements. Yes, the fees at AKC might be more but would still be worth it because in reality you do get more money when selling an AKC dog than other registries.
The other registries support and register puppymill dogs, period!!!!!!!!! They make money, have no ethics and no reason to close anyone down.
I think this is a lame excuse for bad breeders to defend the practice of using a substandard registry.
