Maybe you could post the link, and we could clear it up for you. What Chachi says is correct. There have been posts about the AKC registering mixed beeds for other types of tests, like agility, but they do not register them for breeding or confirmation. So occationally, you might read a thread, "AKC registers mix breeds", but you have to read the whole thing before you find out what that really means. In other words, a breeder could not register a mixed breed with the AKC, and try to sell the dog as being registered. I also believe any dog registered with them in one of the other programs, has to be neutered.
