I personally think that "blunt but tactful" is an oxymoron. Maybe you manage to pull it off, in which case, I am truly impressed and want to be you. I guess what is bothering me is that if you tell it like it is... well, of course some people are going to be offended. That's the definition of bluntness. I think she gives a frank and honest opinion without sugar coating it, this is blunt, but not rude. So you can be blunt and tactful at the same time, tack often requires holding some things back.
