I had an 8 year old only dog pom when I brought Cali home and she didn't really interact much with her as my Pom was always a loner. Then a year later I brought in Pixie who was 13 months and she fell in love with my pom Maya and Maya let Pixie sit in between her front paws and Pixie watched out for her as her health declined. Then when I brought in Roxie from the same breeder as Pixie and it was like they knew they were related. They love each other but still fight/play and get jealous when ones is getting my attention. I just would give Jack some time and extra attention and I bet they will be best of pals soon. I always made sure the existing dogs got fed first and their treats first too. |
