hi, i didn't read all the posts in this thread, so i don't know if what i am going to say already had been said or not.
what i know about tail docking (which is very little) is that it has to be done when the puppies are VERY young, like maybe at 2 days old. and i know that some people compare tail docking to circumcising baby boys. i guess for yorkies it would only have the aesthetic benefit. (if you prefer the docked tail look, which i do and i think many people do) it is very cute to see the little tail wag at 100mph.
