Default misinformation

It is not true that only if you produce a certain # of litters that AKC will check you out and prehaps have your dogs DNA'd - while it is more likely to happen if you produce more than 7 it can happen with as few as 2 -

About the DNA test - it would be STUPID beyond belief for a breeder -either large or small that would do any of the above mentioned deals to register a litter or puppy that is not truly eligible - you see , it could happen that i suppose that one will get away with it but the customer that buys a puppy may decide to have it DNA'd for a large variety of reasons and that will open a can of worms that you would not believe -- I personally bought a pair of dogs from a supposedly reputable breeder ( since this event we all know she is not and she has been discussed on this forum in great detail - name given privately on request as i have no intention of turning this thread over to that again ) and when my first litter was born i decided to keep a male , which i had DNA'd - guess what- the dogs i bought and paid big money for were not possibly what their papers said - The breeder i bought from had to have every dog ( about 40 ) that she showed and bred etc dna's again and was suspended from AKC for years over this matter - So before any of you get the idea that there is a way around it - well maybe so but only for a while as you can be sure that when you do wrong someday it will come back to haunt you and bite you right in the butt - is your reputation and good name worth the sale of one puppy or doing dishonest dealings - so i would say that most sincere breeders out here are doing right - of course i can only speak for my self and if the world has disentegerated to the point that only dishonest people are out there breeding our beloved Yorkies - then i am honestly glad this is my last year and i will be riding off into the sunset in my motorhome with some of my darlings when i retire this year - Thanks to all that i have dealt with over the years and
Trust the breeder you are dealing with or don't deal with them - there are lots of good honest and caring people out there - just search for them but also remember they play by the rules and that cost money so don't expect to get a quality AKC baby for nothing .

ok enough of my spouting off
