Very good discussion. LoveMyBaby, as far as Yorkies waiting for their parents at a set time, that would probably be learned by repetition, but I have no idea how a Yorkie's internal clock (knowing when to start looking for Mommy or Daddy, or when they start sitting by the door or window) works. But knowing the difference between being gone 15 minutes and 5 hours, I'm not sure if that is learned by repetition or just the fact they "understand" that 5 hours is a much longer time...

Yoda's done the same thing to me, when I was away on a business trip, he would sit at the top of the stairs every day at 6pm to wait for me.
