That is why many breeders do not sell to those with small children. You will have to work very hard to get your children to understand they cannot feed the puppies anything. Be blunt and tell them they can kill the puppy. They will not want that to happen and maybe will remember your warnings depending on their maturity/age.

I would suggest a play yard or exercise pen for your puppy. Keeping him in a confined area free from all of the children's play things and offerings might be safer. I don't even let mine have the run of the house unless I am right there with them. I don't have small children, but young Yorkies can make almost anything a danger. They can pull things down on themselves, chew wires, swallow anything from paper to nuts and bolts, jump up and then down from heights that are not safe -- so many dangers! I would just keep to the rule -- under your direct supervision, or in the pen, at least while very young.

Welcome to YT! Hope you will find it a great place to learn, share, and have fun!
Yes, I agree with this, an x-pen where he's can't get into any trouble is so much easier. I think Joey tried to eat everything in sight (besides his food) the first 1 1/2 years. After that it was much easier, and I don't worry as much.
