Inbreeding is done to set type. If you have a super dog with great traits and health it is bred to another dog with traits you desire. Then it is usually daughter bred back to father or son to mother to combine these traits and set type. Only people with many years of dog experience should attempt this as you could also get undesirable traits. If you research alot of great pedigrees you will find this, linebreeding and outcrossing.
