that is alot of time for a little puppy to stay in a crate, have you considered putting her in the kitchen with a pee pad or using an xpen??
I would suggest using an xpen or a gate and giving her a little more room , that way she would not potty in her crate.. gate her in the kitchen or another area...
I used a washing machine pan, available at homedepot it has a 2 inch lip on it and I put the pee pads in there... I cut a little entry way in it... she is probally peeing in the crate because she cant hold it that long. If you confine her to a small area you can leave food, bed toys and her crate also put a pee pad in there that way she can use it while you are at work and then take her out when you get home... its going to be a bit confusing for her to go inside while you are at work and outside when you are home..
I think it might be difficult to train her outside since you are gone most of the day, my Laci is potty trained outside but I can tell you I took her outside every 1-2 hours praised and treated.. it was alot of work but like I said It was every two hours at least to go outside..
since you work all day it might be better to teach her to go on the potty pad till she gets a little older and can hold her bladder for longer periods of time.. Laci is now 6 months and she still goes out every 2-3 hours...
